Wednesday's Fleche Wallonne was a new experience for me as I have never raced it
before. I didn't have my best legs, but what I lacked the most was the ability
to concentrate and to fight for position in the bunch. As soon as you relax too
much and fall back too far in the peloton, you spend so much extra energy after
each corner as the peloton gets strung out. Eating and drinking properly during
a race helps avoid the lack of concentration, so I'll be sure to try to avoid
the same mistake for Sunday's Liege-Bastogne-Liege.
