Today's time-trial was a chance to get an easier day, as we still have two very hard stages to go. But it was still necessary to keep a certain minimum, as there is a time limit you're allowed to loose to the winner. So it's still not really a recovery day. I wish I could have gone full-out today to really test myself, but having learned my lesson in the past, I know I am still better off taking an easy day whenever possible. My first year on the road (2009) I raced every race full-out, something which I had to pay for during all of last year.
