Having completed the Volta Algarve was actually a personal success. I raced here last year, although I only made it to the third stage. That time a rider crashed in front of me, forcing me off the road and crashing hard with my face down. I had to go with an ambulance to the hospital, getting 8 stitches on my face and ear. Anyway, yesterdays final TT did not really have the outcome I was hoping for, but all in all I am happy with my riding here in Portugal. After the race we traveled up to Lissabon where we spent the night before flying home today to Monaco.
Another road trip with the bus.
The reward after the trip and race: some free internet and a nice hotel room. It's the small things in life that count!
