Yesterday five of us riders left Etna and traveled to Faro, Portugal for the first race of the year, Volta Algarve. We left the hotel in Etna at 12:00, and flew via Rome to Lisabon, where we landed at 22:00. From there we were picked by the team bus and taken to the hotel, 250km away. The weather isn't great here, last night was like a tropical storm, with strong winds and heavy rain. This morning it was still pouring down, forcing us to train on trainers rather than going out riding. During the day it's gotten better, with some nice sunny weather at times.
